Work Packages 3

The specific objectives of the work package "3D Medical Printing Process of Task-based/Procedure-based of Robotic Physical Simulators and 3D Printing Materials Determination of training models" are to:

● Prepare the 3D models for 3D printing.
● Select suitable materials for 3D printing of different organs and 3D print the 3D models.
● Cure and post-produce the 3D models.

These specific objectives contribute to the general objectives of the project in the following ways:

OB2: The 3D printed anatomical models will be used in physical and digital environment simulators to provide trainees with hands- on experience with robotic surgery.

OB3: The 3D-printed anatomical models will be used to develop procedural and task-based training materials in robotic surgery.

OB4: The 3D-printed anatomical models will be used to evaluate and validate training materials to ensure that they are effective and meet the needs of trainees.

OB6: The 3D-printed anatomical models will be used to study the physical substance organization of printed 3D models fo simulators.

OB7: Customized 3D simulators will be disseminated to clinical quality robotic surgery training.

The tasks and responsibilities of each partner organisation in the work package.

The activities of this work package are:
1. Identification of the anatomical structures related to task-based/procedure-based models,
2. Determination of the suitable data modality (cadaveric, radiological, etc.),
3. Formation of the models using different segmentation/modeling software
4. Validation of the anatomical content efficacy with the experts.
