Project Summary

European Youth School of Robotic Technology

Project Number: 2024-2-TR01-KA220-YOU-000280035

Organization: Hacettepe University

Partners: Katholieke Universiteit Leuven Belgium, Universita Degli Studi Di Perugia Italy, Chosun University South Corea, International Urologic Research Society

Start Date: 01-May-2025
End Date: 30-Apr-2027

Objectives: What do you want to achieve by implementing the project?
The project aims to equip young individuals in the health sciences field with advanced knowledge and practical skills in robotic technologies. The project seeks to foster innovation and enhance the professional competencies of youth through a specialized curriculum that integrates cutting-edge robotic systems and techniques. By doing so, it aims to prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals to effectively utilize robotic technologies in improving patient care and medical outcomes.

Implementation: What activities are you going to implement?
The project activities start with a literature review and need analysis to Identify the anatomical structures related to taskbased / procedure-based training. Based on this research, modular teaching materials with innovative methods are developed to fill the gap in robotic surgery in current curricula. Then 3D printing materials will be determined, the printing process will start, and these simulators will be validated. Active dissemination will run both the target group and the relevant.

Results: What project results and other outcomes do you expect your project to have?
Concrete Results:
1- A comprehensive curriculum that covers the latest surgical techniques in the specified fields, tailored for robotic technology.
2- High-quality 3D anatomical models integrated into simulators for realistic surgical training
3- Detailed procedural and task-based training materials in robotic surgery
4- Virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) applications for surgical training
5- The optimization of physical 3D models for use in simulators
